  • Why has B Lab decided to evolve the B Leader Program and Training?

    B Lab is transitioning its B Leader programs into a unified European wide B Corp Consultants Program to align with the updated B Lab Standards (Version 2.1) and to strengthen our consultancy ecosystem across Europe. This evolution supports:

    • Higher consistency in how consultants support companies in their B Corp journey
    • Alignment with B Lab’s new certification standards
    • A shared, professionalized framework for all consultants across Europe
    • Improved learning tools through the B Lab Learning Platform, including deeper practical content and ongoing support from B Lab
    • Greater credibility and recognition for all professionals supporting companies on their B Corp journey
    • Continuous shared learning through the B Corp Consultants community, allowing close collaboration with like-minded consultants across Europe

    This shift reflects B Lab’s commitment to raising the bar and ensuring all consultants operate with the most up to date, high-quality training. The knowledge and expertise of today’s B Leaders forms the foundation for this new phase.

  • What is the purpose of unifying professional networks under the new B Corp Consultants Program?

    The B Corp movement is entering a new phase and needs a consulting community that is globally aligned, well-trained, and consistent in quality.

    Unifying the programs will:

    • Create one harmonized professional program across Europe
    • Strengthen collaboration, shared learning, recognition, and alignment
    • Ensure all consultants meet the requirements of B Lab Standards V2.1
    • The previous B Leader programs across Europe are now discontinued as we introduce the B Corp Consultants Program, establishing a unified and enhanced framework for professional development and support within our community.

    Starting December 2025, we are excited to launch the unified B Corp Consultant Program, starting with the Retraining Pathway, especially designed for current B Leaders. After this, we will roll out the community features throughout the first half of 2026.

  • What are the main milestones in the program?

    2025/2026:

    • April 8, 2025: Publication of the new B Lab Standards V2.0
    • August 12, 2025: Release of B Lab Standards V2.1
    • March 2025–November 2025: B Lab network closely collaborating, including engagement with key stakeholders, to create the new B Corp Consultants program, implementing evolving B Leader feedback and needs.
    • November 2025 – 30 June 2026: Retraining Pathway in the B Lab Learning Platform runs for current B Leaders
    • Throughout the first half of 2026: Rollout of the unified B Corp Consultants community features and full launch of the new B Corp Consultants Program

    30 June 2026: Deadline to complete Retraining Pathway. If you are unable to meet this deadline, please contact your local B Lab representative.

  • What is the process for current B Leaders to transition into the new B Corp Consultants Program?

    In order to become a trained B Corp Consultant, you must complete the following steps:

    • Sign up for the B Corp Consultants Program and get confirmation from B Lab on your eligibility.
    • Complete the Retraining Pathway, consisting of online self-paced modules and optional office hours.
    • Complete the knowledge validation test on the B Lab Learning Platform. In this test, you will be asked to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the learned materials.
    • Successful validation ensures enrollment in the new B Corp Consultant program.

    Throughout your transition, you will receive step-by-step guidance detailing these specific actions required throughout the program.

  • What content does the Retraining Pathway entail?

    The Retraining Pathway is a structured online learning journey, consisting of:

    • Self-paced modules covering B Lab Standards V2.1, the B Impact Platform, consulting best practices, the new certification process and assurance model.
    • Optional open office hours. The self-paced online modules are complemented by optional open office hours. The open office hours are an open online space to ask questions, discuss the e-learning material further, and receive support during the retraining process. The office hours are available in different languages: English, French, Spanish and Italian.
    • Validation test. Upon completing the retraining course modules, you will be asked to demonstrate your understanding through a test on the B Lab Learning Platform.

    The program ensures everyone reaches a required competency level aligned with B Lab Standards V2.1.
